Ultimate Champagne Evening 2019: picture gallery

We dare say it was our best ever Ultimate Champagne Evening!

In addition to an unbeatable line up of prestige cuvées we hosted a stimulating and joyful group of guests, that were each as hedonistic as they were knowledgeable.

After a focused session tasting through such unique and exquisite pours as the Philipponnat Clos des Goisses L.V. 1994, the 'Collection Crayères' Brut Millésimé 1989 Jeroboam or the Cattier Clos du Moulin Brut Premier cru - Cuvée 100 ans, they all left - goody bag in hand - with high and nourished spirits. The canapés and informal networking certainly helped as well.
A memorable evening that sets the bar very high for next year!

Have a Merry Christmas, hopefully with wines as special and delicious as the ones tasted on Tuesday 10th December at the Lansdowne.

It’s not every day The Wine Gang’s Ines Salpico opens a Jeroboam like this. Rest assured: the Charles Heidsieck 1989 ‘Les Crayères’ was certainly not corked. One of the starts of the night.

And here is John dealing with the heavy task of pouring the 1989 ‘Big Boy’. The most ‘Instagrammed’ moment of the evening.

Anthony Rose certainly not struggling to be inspired and inspiring while presenting such special wines.

Happy, bubbly guests as the evening wraps up: what else could we wish for?!
